This is episode 4 of 10 in our new miniseries where we take you from the why, to the what and eventually to the how of kick-starting your business agility journey with Kanban. Click here to start with the first episode.

If Kanban is so powerful, you may ask, why don't more organisations drive its adoption from the top down?

I could give the tongue and cheek answer that David and Theodora told us so in their Kanban Maturity Model... but this would not be the truth as the model is merely a reflection of what they saw happening in the real world!

Instead, in this Business Agility Daily episode I present a very simple driver for why we believe it is best to start a serious Kanban implementation at the team level.

Can you guess what it is before watching the video?

Apart from answering this question, I also manage to show two different visualisations of the KMM, Klaus Leopold's influential Flight Levels model and a number of increasingly sophisticated Kanbanize boards.

And if this was not enough excitement for you, I also had a really embarrassing slip of the tongue ... hope you don't notice 😉

Would love to hear what you think in the comments below!

Spending upwards of 5h producing each high quality episode sadly turned out to be unsustainable for us and we have put this series on ice for now.
