When working remotely, better software tools will not necessarily make you more productive.

The exact opposite is true, however, when you don't have good tools as this will most certainly have a major negative effect on your team's productivity.

The sad reality is that if you are working for a more traditional organisation where remote working was never a priority before, your current tools and applications are most likely not even remotely good enough.
